Colorado is again in the headlines as the site of origin for jihad activities. Since I live here, Im wondering what gives with all this jihad business being exported from the Rocky Mountain State. Jamie Paulin-Ramirez (pictured above), an American convert to Islam, has been arrested and released from custody in Ireland in connection with a conspiracy to murder Swedish artist Lars Vilks. Why would Muslims target Vilks, you ask. Vilks published a cartoon in 2007, depicting Muhammads head on a dogs body and infuriated Muslims sufficiently to initiate plans for Vilks demise.
WATERFORD, Ireland -- Irish police said on Saturday evening they have released all three women who were among seven individuals arrested earlier this week in connection with an alleged plot to murder a Swedish cartoonist. They were released and not charged, police said. Those releases appear to indicate that U.S. national Jamie Paulin-Ramirez, a 31-year-old mother and recent convert to Islam believed to be among the seven initially arrested, is no longer in the custody of the Irish police. People familiar with the matter had earlier confirmed Ms. Paulin-Ramirez as being among the seven arrested, making her the second American...
SNIPPET: ..."For the Love of Islam: A Second American Woman Is Arrested in Cartoonist Case, by Vanessa OConnell, Stephanie Simon and Evan Perez in the Wall Street Journal, March 13..." Last Easter, Jamie Paulin-Ramirez, a 31-year-old mom with a $30,000-a-year job as a medical assistant, announced to her family that she had converted to Islam. A few months later, she began posting to Facebook forums whose headings included STOP caLLing MUSLIMS TERRORISTS! SNIPPET: On Sept. 11, she suddenly left Leadville, Colo., a small town in the Rocky Mountains, for Denver, then for New York, to meet and marry a Muslim...
The first American to be charged with treason since World War II was back in the news Sunday, both for a new videotape he released and for reports of his capture that turned out to be false. In the videotape, al-Qaeda operative Adam Gadahn, an American convert to Islam, praised the Fort Hood jihad murderer and called upon Muslims to carry out jihad attacks in the United States. The reports that Gadahn had been captured caused widespread excitement until the arrestee turned out to be a different American convert to Islam, Abu Yahya Mujahdeen Al-Adam, who like Gadahn is an...
After refusing bribes to convert to Islam, Pakistani Christian Riaz Masih, 26, sustained a beating from his four older brothers earlier this month. Masih's parents, who were Christians, died when he was a boy. After their deaths, a Muslim cleric, Moulvi Peer Akram-Ullah, raised him and his siblings. One by one, the cleric bribed the children to convert to Islam and recant their Christian faith. Since then, Akram-Ullah continued to coerce Masih. Akram-Ullah and Masih's brothers offered him "1 million rupees (US$11,790), a spacious residence, and a woman of his choice to marry," He declined, however, and his brothers proceeded...
PESHAWAR: The Taliban has reportedly beheaded two Sikhs in Pakistan's lawless tribal region bordering Afghanistan and sent the heads to a gurdwara. Jaspal Singh and Mahan Singh, both businessmen, were kidnapped from Tira Valley, in Khyber agency, and Darra Adamkheil, in Orakzai agency, on January 19 and held for ransom. Sources in the area told TOI on Sunday that they were killed because they were paying `protection' money to a rival faction. However, according to security sources in New Delhi, Jaspal and Mahan were reportedly told to convert to Islam or face death. When they refused, their heads were chopped...
France's hardline immigration minister Eric Besson is threatening to sue over hotly denied claims he is about to convert to Islam to marry his young Muslim girlfriend. The rumours, reported on French news website Bakchich Info, come as the 51-year-old spearheads a campaign against alien religions and cultures swamping his country. He has already called for the Muslim burkha to be banned, and wants potential immigrants to take French tests and swear allegiance to the Republic. This particularly applies to those arriving from Muslim countries who do not share the same values as Frances predominantly Roman Catholic population. Divorced Mr...
Many people are deeply concerned now about President Barack Hussein Obama's birth to a Muslim father and early education as a Muslim, with all that entails. Some wonder why Obama was selected by an American black convert to Islam, Khalid al-Mansour (principal adviser of Saudi billionaire Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal), so Obama was approved to receive considerable funding to attend Harvard University. These funds reportedly came from Saudi Arabia. Why was Obama profiled for greater things by Islamic leaders? What was there in his person or personality that brought him to the attention of the Saudis - among other Muslims?...
SNIPPET: "It may have been one of the coldest days this season, but that did not deter angry protesters from gathering at the residence of Youssef Al-Khattab, a Jewish convert to Islam who has been tagged as an Al-Qaida sympathizer." SNIPPET: "Sundays protest came after Al-Khattab posted comments on his website, revolutionmuslim.com, supporting the Fort Hood attacks and other violent acts of radical Muslims. He also has made several anti-Semitic comments on his site, including saying he wants liquid drain cleaner to be thrown in Jews faces, and calling for the outdoor huts some build during the holiday of Sukkot...
Who would imagine that a convert to Islam calling himself Hamza Yusuf Hanson, living in the San Francisco Bay Area and in his late 40s, would be listed as number 38 among the "Top 50 Muslims in the World" by a leading government body in Jordan? Or that the same Hanson would have announced recently, in grandiose terms, the prospective launch of an American Islamic institution of higher education to be called Zaytuna College, and aimed at becoming a "Muslim Georgetown" in academic prestige? "Shaykh Hamza," as he prefers to be known, achieved so high a rank among the "Top...
