Sarah Palin will speak in Redding at logging conference
Sarah Palin will be a keynote speaker at the Sierra-Cascade Logging Conference in Redding on Feb. 8. Nadine Bailey, executive director for the conference, said Palin will speak for 30 to 45 minutes at the Convention Center that evening to kick off the week-long timber industry gathering. Conference organizers and Palin's representatives haven't settled on a theme for the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee's speech. But Palin will stop in Redding, in part, to promote her book, Bailey said. The book, "Going Rogue," will be released Tuesday.
