<p>"The Palin that I know is a man who loves his children," said Mariah Martir, who cannot understand why he walked out of his home with a gun after a hostage standoff, only to be killed by a sharpshooter.</p>
<p>"He was strong in his faith, he loved his family and he loved his wife," she said, while acknowledging that Perez Jackson was in a troubled relationship.</p>
